Just bought in catalog, and I'm happy with it! However, routinely the enemy is declared winner when they are defeated. Also, some challenge maps would be very welcome additions to this game! Targets only reachable by crank missiles or clever terraforming, or defeating enemies with a weird arsenal would be interesting and hopefully relatively easy to add.

This is the first report I’ve seen of that issue - what weapons were they defeated with? Any commonality to who shot it (you, another computer, self defeated)? What mode were you playing? How many CPU tanks?

so far it only happened when I defeated the cpu 1v1, with the shot from me. Custom game, not survival. However, it only happened 4 times out of 5, so it doesnt seem guaranteed.

Are there any plans to release this on Catalog?

It was accepted quite a while ago, but will be a couple more weeks before it’s available.

One of the best games I've played on the system so far! Apart from a few minor bugs, my only real complaint is that some of the weapons feel very over or under priced to buy for what they do. I basically only ever buy like five things out of the expansive weapon list as a result.

It's incompatible with my PlayDate system version. :( I guess I have to sit around and hope there's a patch. Will the game update in the PlayDate system or do I need to keep checking here to download and sideload a new version?

I have just uploaded a new version built with the latest SDK which should address this issue. Can you please confirm that it works for you?

It works now! I had to delete and sideload the new version. (assuming that's normal for sideloaded games)? I'm new to owning a Playdate. Thanks for updating it.

IDK why but Mirror app freezes a lot during playing this game. It doesn't happens with other games. I use mac

Did you test your game with Mirror app?

Only briefly. Basically the only reason for me to test on actual hardware was to check performance, and running Mirror significantly reduces the framerate. Once I realized that, I decided it was pointless.

Sorry, I had originally written that it worked in the simulator before it included native code. Now that it does, I'm not sure it's practical for me to try to include a native binary for every platform. I have removed the claim that it works in the simulator, and naturally if you purchased it specifically to play in the simulator, please request a refund.

Thanks to joeorlando and udenfox for their bug reports! Both of these issues should be fixed in the current version.

The game has been a blast! Really fun and well executed.  Just wanted to let you know that immediately after losing a round in Survival, it has crashed my playdate. I think it happened twice? Just to note!

Oh no! Can you do me a favor and send the errorlog.txt and/or crashlog.txt from the root of your Playdate's disk to ethan@ethannicholas.com? I will fix this ASAP.

Nice game! Really like it, but for me it just stuck after I finished 1 battle in Survival mode. I'm on the game screen where I can scroll and nothing more. Nothing happening and all I can do is start the Survival from the beginnig.

Sorry to hear that; that's definitely not something I've seen before. Did it present a dialog indicating the round was over? Had you won or lost?

I'll see if I can figure out how to reproduce it on my end. In the meantime, if it happens to you again, it would be very helpful if you could send me the contents of the Data/com.ethannicholas.cranktanks directory from your Playdate.

I won the round and I had dialog about it. After that another round is loaded, but I'm stuck. How can I send it to You? I havent start a new save after that, so I actually have the save in that state

If you don't know how to get the data, reboot your Playdate into data disk mode (under Settings / System), connect it to your computer via USB, and it will be under the Playdate's Data folder.
